So what have I been working on? I have been working a ton. I moved twice (finally settling in now) and on this wonderful rainy day I have updated iPill Trackr with all of the new features I introduced into iSupplement not to long ago.

The past few weeks have seen massive sales of iPill Trackr, which admittedly, has helped to push me to introduce the update as soon as possible. I was finally able to recreate a crash bug that a few users seemed to have found and fixed the issue. So what’s new?

  • Added the ability to postpone doses
  • Added the ability to view scheduled alerts
  • Fixed a few bugs that were sneaking about
  • Updated the look of the app
  • Fixed the badge count when alerts go off

    • All in all the list isn’t very extensive but it has been time consuming with my busy schedule and the update has been submitted to apple. If this update goes like the Rainbow and Text Flasher updates it should be approved very soon.

    I have also updated iSupplement to implement a few rare crashes and bugs that I happened to find as well as optimizing some of the code.

    Beyond the updates I really want to begin working on some of my past app and game ideas.

    I have received several emails from people with different app and game ideas some seem promising and I do try to reply to everyone but the website and apps are side projects I work on when I have free time. I do not currently make enough money doing this to stop working and dedicate all my time to app development. With all the being said I will try to update the site more often so stay tuned.

    Recently we all saw the release of the iPhone 4S and iOS 5. Which brings over 200 new features to our iDevices. All of my apps that provide notifications are fully working with iOS 5. Enjoy the notification center and the new apps I am planning. Enjoy!

I really liked one of the ideas that was submitted and began working on the app (dev time has been cut way back with my new job). Last night I finished the app and graphics for the app.

    The new app is called Text Flasher and has a lot of uses that I never originally thought of. More info will be available once the app is approved.

    To assist in creating the apps settings screen I used the InAppSettingsKit. This is a free open-source kit that you can drop into your app to EXACTLY mimic the Settings.app appearance and allows in-app and out of app settings screens. I highly recommend the kit. If you get a chance check out the site.

    I would (like always) be looking for input from users about what new features they want or any bugs that have been found. I am already playing with some more customization ideas.

The bright side to updating iSupplement is that most of the changes can be brought right over to iPill Trackr. Speaking of which, iPill Trackr has moved into the low 600′s on Apples healthcare and fitness top 1000 grossing apps and 800′s on the healthcare and fitness top 1000. This boost in ranking has definitely been driving sales higher.

    I am still working on the notification and badge system for iSupplement so check back for any updates. I am hoping iOS 5 really brings a new and workable notification system.
