Here’s What’s Up

I have been working hard on iSupplement v3.0.0 however, I have also started a new job so my free time right now is rare. The bright side to updating iSupplement is that most of the changes can be brought right over to iPill Trackr. Speaking of which, iPill Trackr has moved into the low 600′s on Apples healthcare and fitness top 1000 grossing apps and 800′s on the healthcare and fitness top 1000. This boost in ranking has definitely been driving sales higher.

No Internet – Waiting For App Update Approval

I am currently still waiting for iSupplement 2.0 to be approved by Apple. I also have just moved into the house and will not have Internet here until Monday. I should be able to get online Sunday from work to check in on a few things. I have also noticed a minor bug in iSupplement which I plan on fixing right now and submitting version 2.0.1 as soon as 2.0 is approved. The bug only happens when you have enough supplements entered to warrant scrolling on the main page. The problem seems to be that when you scroll everything is updated every time the cellAtIndexRow method is called which causes a good deal of lag bear with me the fix should be quick. Enjoy.

Insomnia….ugh

I’ve always wondered what it is like to not be able to sleep. When I was younger I always stayed up late despite having the TV turned off and the constant parental checks. Even with my late night pow wows I always found comfort that I could fall asleep when I wanted. I have never been much of a morning person, having always preferred to stay awake late and sleep late. As I got older I didn’t really notice to many changes in my sleep except for the fact that I go to bed earlier when I have to get up early. Days off are a free for all. Lately however, I have been having a horrible time sleeping or actually falling asleep. As far as I can tell this “insomnia” began after vacation and a week of prednisone for my back strain. I can lay awake – trying to sleep – for hours at a time, sometimes never even sleeping. I figured that this lack of sleep may be caused by my sleep pattern being so influx from vacation, but the problem continued. I began taking sleep aids to help get myself to feel tired enough to just drift off to sleep and these have worked with moderate success. Some days a double dose won’t get me to sleep, other days a double dose won’t let me wake up needless to say it has been a rough few weeks. The problem vanished for about 10 days while I was taking Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) the muscle relaxant for my back. The medicine made me drowsy all day and when I would get home from work I would just lay down and drift right into sleep. Now that I am out of muscle relaxers I see the problem slowly creeping up again and it is far more annoying than I ever could have imagined. When I was younger I used to love trying to stay up for as long as possible, I think my record was like 48-50 hours, now a days I just wish I could fall asleep. An ironic twist of course but so much does change as you get older and become more “responsible”.

I’m back….well I never really left

It has been a long time since I last posted any work out information. The reason for this is simple: my geek side took over. I have gradually shifted from fitness to technology, mainly iPhone, information. This was a change that fit my life since I have been so busy over the last few months I have not really had much time for fitness.
