iPad Funding Campaign

Since I am an indie developer, I do not have access to unlimited funds. I have been fortunate enough to get the iPhone and MacBook that I use for development now. However, I am trying to expand my development on to new technologies, like the iPad for example, the only problem with beginning iPad development is that I need an iPad. Now if my apps could be more successful so that I could get my iPad that would be great. As it stands right now I am not generating enough revenue to fuel the development machine. With that being said I thought it would fun to start an iPad fund that will take donations from anyone who cares to donate. Of course there is nothing saying you have to donate, but your donation will help inspire (and allow) me to work on iPad development. The iPad brings a lot of new functionality to the iOS Dev Toolbox and can be used to make universal apps as well as iPad only apps. Whether you decide to donate or not, feel free to come back and read the articles and be active on the comments and forum. The iPad Fund widget is on the right hand side of the site near the middle. Removed the Newsfeed Syndication

I recently added a few syndication subscriptions to the site so that I could pull tech news from other sites and have posts for it here with links to the original site. I decided that this was stupid and annoying. The damn newsfeed already out-posted me and my “Subscriber” users shot up to like 1700. I don’t believe these users are real and are in fact from the syndication since the majority of them are xxxx@www.syndicatedwebsite.com. I think the blog will benefit more by going back to just having posts by me, which will also force me to post more often :) . I was hoping to see some traffic spikes due to the newsfeed and I did see a minor spike but nothing worth getting excited over.  Read more here...

New look for the Blog

After a few hours of non-stop theme hunting and customizing, I have finally gotten a fully customizable blog that supports everything I was looking for. After some custom editing the theme is now 100% better for my needs. The theme doesn’t throw a ton of colors at you (which I always hate) and instead is gentle on the eyes, and just damn simple to use. I am working on removing the “Pages” across the top because I don’t use pages, I would rather use categories. So my work is not yet done. Enjoy the new faster loading, less ad filled blog!!
