A Whole Bunch of Info

Well I haven’t posted in 5 days, but that of course doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy! Yesterday was more of a relaxation day than anything but most of the other days I was up late working on the new app and trying to determine when to add some features to iSupplement. If you read my other posts talking about what features people look for the most and which ones I wanted to work on you will remember that there were 3 big features:
- Logs / Logging Function – Simple enough, users want to be able to track their pill/meds/rx/supps usage and doses over the course of days and even years. This feature has migrated from the new app into iSupplement v2.2.0. That is all well and good but how do users get their logs off their iDevice? Export! Users are able to export Logs of particular days, or their entire log to an email address of their choice.
- Profiles – Again simple enough but I have decided NOT to carry this feature over to iSupplement. I figure most people who actually use iSupplement use it to track their own intake and have no use of profiles. The new app which is geared more towards medicine, prescriptions, pills like that etc. does support multiple profiles and customized notification messages.
- Speed and Efficiency – Early on with the new app I figured testing would go much quick if I could just click a button on the Main screen of the app that would allow me to take a supplement instead of having to select, scroll, push button….etc. So the new app has this, and since I use both apps myself, I had to put this new feature into iSupplement because the old way feels so….old…
Now these features are the ones I chose to start my new app off with, and 2 of them were added to iSupplement. Of course if you check my post you will see that I also had hopes of adding a calendar, which I later changed my mind about because of the dynamic scheduling that both of these apps use. Also you will see a notes feature that I wanted to implement. The notes feature has been causing issues with the Database and I am running out of steam. It has been almost 20 days since I submitted the last iSupplement update, so I decided I was at a good point for a new iSupplement version, and the release of iPill Trackr (the new app). I plan on taking a few days off from all this programming and thinking and then coming back hard next week to add the other planned features, and any other features that crop up.
Well that is it for now my hands are killing me. Enjoy!
